JANESVILLE Shelly Hanley has been named administrative assistant to Marion Wozniak, president and chief executive officer at Cedar Crest, 1702 S. River Road. Hanely will serve as an operational coordinator as well as carry out a variety of marketing related responsibilities.

The three-day seminar was held to inform and update new home builders on the latest material specifications, cost control and computerized pricing systems. Advantage Homes has been building custom homes in Janesville and surrounding communities for more than 15 years.
SOUTH BELOIT Marilyn Hartley, South Beloit city clerk, recently attended the 2004 Municipal Clerks of Illinois Academy held in Springfield, Ill. The academy provides the opportunity for clerks who have already earned the Master Municipal Clerkıs designation to continue their education to refresh and expand their knowledge base in areas relevant to municipal government.
BELOIT Cari Pohl, of the financial services firm Edward Jones in Beloit, recently traveled to St. Louis to meet with representatives from American Funds. The Business Development Workshop brought together Edward Jones investment representatives who have achieved a certain level of success in the financial services business.
JANESVILLE Kristen Cogswell has joined SBC Wisconsinıs external affairs department as director of external affairs in Madison, Janesville and Beloit. An SBC employee since 1996, Cogswell has served in several departments of the company, including industry markets and consumer services. Most recently, she was employed as an area manager for SBC Wisconsin regulatory relations, working on issues related to wholesale accounts.
ROCKFORD - Mike Durand, PGA, Director of Golf for the Winnebago County Forest Preserve District, recently was featured in an article in the October issue of the national PGA Magazine. The article describes the Forest Preserve Districtıs success with the PGAıs CareerLinks. Durand took over the Winnebago Forest Preserve Districtıs three courses in 2000. He oversees courses, programs and facilities at Macktown, Atwood Homestead and The Ledges.
