David McCoy, president of First National Bank and Trust Company (FNBT), announced that Don O’Day has been promoted to executive vice president chief banking officer. In this position, he will play a key role in the execution of the bank’s strategy as he continues to lead the commercial and consumer banking sales teams.
O’Day earned a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from the University of Illinois – Champaign-Urbana, and has had an impressive career in banking including retail sales, customer service, commercial and consumer lending, treasury management, credit administration, as well as executive leadership. Before joining FNBT in 2017 as executive vice president chief lending and retail officer, O’Day served as executive vice president of Inland Bank in Oak Brook, Illinois.
As part of the bank’s executive management team, O’Day participates in the overall management of the bank and is based at the bank’s Beloit-Grand Ave. office.
