theFranaGroup, a national healthcare consulting firm headquartered in Rockford, announced today the award of two $1,000 scholarships to local individuals. The firm established the scholarships in 2015 in collaboration with the Crusader Community Health Foundation as part of its celebration in helping clients achieve the $1 billion milestone in funding. Both scholarships are funded by theFranaGroup.
This year’s recipients are Darien Booker, an East High School student, and Jacob Klaung, a Christian Life High School student. Booker plans to attend Elmhurst College in the fall and Klaung will be attending Rock Valley College.
The scholarship winners were chosen through a random drawing process and scholarship monies are given directly to the individuals so they can use the funds at their discretion. The only eligibility requirements were applicants must be either a graduate of Rockford Public School District 205 or an employee of or have a family member who works at Crusader Community Health. They must also plan to attend an institution of continuing education such as community college, trade school or a four-year college or university.
